Aquatic Centre, Diocesan Swim School

Diocesan School for Girls is a high performing independent Anglican School with an outstanding reputation for excellence in all aspects of achievement.  With state of the art educational and sporting facilities, the school provides a unique environment where girls can achieve excellence in a wide range of academic, cultural, sporting and spiritual activities.

Our world-class indoor Aquatic Centre has a purpose built fitness centre, separate learner pool and 400-seat spectator gallery.  A moveable floor in the main 25x20 metre pool can be lowered for deep water sports codes like water polo and raised for learn-to-swim classes. 

Our Swim School teaches both boys and girls throughout the year.  The Swim School operates programmes after school Monday to Thursday, Saturday mornings and during the school holidays.

Swimming Instructor

Experienced swim instructor competent in teaching students from beginners through to classes that cover all four swimming strokes.  Knowledge of the various stroke techniques is a prerequisite. 


Baby / Toddler and Pre-school Swimming Instructor

Swimming instructor who is experienced in teaching babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers classes 1-2 times a week and possibly a Saturday morning. 

Candidates for this role could also be capable of teaching all levels up to squads and this could involve working Monday to Thursday and Saturday mornings.

The successful candidates for these positions will have had experience and are able to detail successes in previous organisations.  All candidates will be professional, enthusiastic, friendly and reliable.  They will also enjoy working in a team and be able to provide a fun and safe learning environment for our students.  Appointments are subject to a satisfactory result from the Police Vetting process.
