The Building

The whole complex is an environmentally sustainable design (ESD), meaning it has been specifically designed to be energy efficient and minimise waste – reducing our carbon footprint!

• The large double glazed windows that overlook the School House lawn were designed to optimise the natural light 
• Main pool hall walls have acoustic panelling

• Expelled air from all the air conditioning is recycled and used in the heating of the pool
• Sixteen solar panels heat water for the student showers, and the showers are governed by a time clock
• Tanks collect storm water which is then recycled and used for the toilets, or filtered to top up the pool

Main Pool

• 25m L x 20m W (eight lanes) and is 2m deep when floor is lowered
• The pool has a movable floor

Junior Pool

• 12m long
• 0.7m to 0.9m deep
• The temperature is kept between 32 and 34ºC
